Here's a DotPup I made of Xinet, it's simple & should work, I have trouble sometimes.

CHECK the FOLLOWING for PROPER INSTALLATION...

It should put the file: "xinetd.conf" into: /etc
And the files: "xinetd, itox, xconv.pl" into: /usr/sbin

It also adds to the file: "/etc/rc.d/rc.local" the boot run line: "/usr/sbin/xinetd".

CORRECT the SubNet number in the file: "/etc/xinetd.conf",
to YOUR SubNet number... Line: "only_from = (Your SubNet, x.x.x.0)".

As to getting Swat running from this point... your on your own!
I think glezel made a DotPup of Webmin or uses it, I didn't care for it.
If you have any trouble post it here & I'll try to help.

Hi, thank you so much, I'll try it out later today. :)

UPDATE: Mmmh, I must be doing something wrong; I still can't get SWAT to display (getting a page load error). How can I make sure that Xinetd is running successfully? A swat checklist would be great... Man, why is it not working???

UPDATE2: Prodded around a bit. The page load error for http://localhost:901/ states that the connection was refused.

Also, xinetd gives me the following error:

xinetd: error while loading shared libraries: libwrap.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Any ideas on how to fix this (these)? :?:
