startup problems (SOLVED ) thanks to..... PERDIDO

#1 Post by pp4mnklinux »

Hello everybody:

Testing puppy configuration, I deleted all the start up entries, but now when I boot up puppy, two error messages appears indicating "NO SUCH AS FILE OR DIRETORY".

It works faster and perfectly when I close them, but I wanna make them not appear.

Where are these entries located and how can I delete them forever??

THANKS A LOT

n.b.- I run Menu, SetUp, StartUp control (control startup apps) AND it's empty.

Whan programs should I add there?... Or in which file can I delete the references than make this pop ups appears when booting.

HAVE A NICE FRIDAY, my friends !!!

Hi pp4mnklinux,

I have tahrpup 6.0.5 which has the following .desktop files for autostart startup entries. I think they should be the same for tahrpup 6.0.2

You need to copy the following .desktop files from
/usr/share/applications/
to
/root/.config/autostart/

clipit-startup.desktop
dunst.desktop
firewallstatus.desktop
flsynclient.desktop
freememapplet_tray.desktop
netmon_wce.desktop
powerapplet.desktop
retrovol.desktop

.

THANKS A LOT:

That's what I did, but in a different way.

I restore my computer to an old image using a cloned image

I start pcmanfm, view, show hidden files, and I went to .config and copy the autostart folder to a secure partition.

Then I restore my actual image again with the clone software and when I have the system with the problems, I install autostart folder into .config overwritten the file.

Reboot and no problem

(I continue with all the programs without activation, EXCEPT "network tray" which is the one give me problems because of the icon at the task bar that shows u connection data.

You can see the image that works for me at:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8qkBe ... sp=sharing

Now my computer runs really fast and I haven't got 'problems' when starting.

THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP (If I had waitted It can solved my problem)

HAVE A NICE DAY, MY FRIEND!!!!
