Eric Paris and Root issues sort of???

I where in Gmail and suddenly saw a Linux Magazine ad that promised to tell the secrets of Linux and Linux Torvald.
Clicking on it I saw no such things at all. But found a text commenting on something Eric Paris discussed with others in the Kernel writing dev?
