Sub_title: a rude, crude deathmatch FPS

Postal 2: Share the Pain
this is the free, multiplayer deathmatch version

Postal 2 is full of swearing, sex, bad humour, blood, etc - it's not for kids.. but they will love it.

Download the game: http://icculus.org/news/news.php?id=4419 (563mb)
Download extra maps: http://www.map-factory.org/postal-2-share-the-pain/
Download the manual: http://demofiles.linuxgamepublishing.com/postal2/manual.pdf

Careful with this one, it is really big (around 1GB unzipped!)

Minimum Requirements:
Quote:
Processor 1.0 GHz x86 Processor
Memory 128 MB
Disc Space 1.4 GB
CD Rom 8 x CD Rom
Graphics Card Hardware Accelerated 3D Graphics card with 64 MB video memory
Sound Card OSS Compatible

I played it a while, online play works fine, people are playing most of the time.. I tried to package an SFS file, but ran out of disk space! For something similar, less crude, and much smaller, see AssaultCube (~56mb)

I love this game, lol.
I recently tried to get a cracked version of the full game with mods (a whopping 4gb or so, unpacked) to run under Wine, but Wine on Puppy doesn't have a recent-enough version of DirectX.

Any idea on how to update Wine's DirectX on Puppy? It worked flawlessly on Ubuntu 10.10.

Sorry no idea, not used Wine much myself...
But many puppy users install and use Wine a lot....

Maybe post a question about it in the "Beginners Help" or "Users (for the regulars)" threads...
