user-786 is right
actually I posted on the board too and said I tried it - seem to remember I didn't bother (was gonna) after reading a review in our misc section . . .
What is it with BSD - Do they have a bad attitude because no one much bothers with their posturing? More and more they seem to look like Linux. What is the deal? I have read stuff on why they think they are superior and have never been convinced - maybe if I needed more security or something?

When Linux became popular, there appeared some worms and exploits that could harm Linux-Servers.
At that time, *bsd was an insider-tip for Servers, as they were not affected.
This lead to a certain arrogance among some *bsd -users, similar to the arrogance of some Linux-users when talking about Windows.
I think *bsd are interesting systems, and for a while they were even faster than Linux (what is no more valuable since Puppy), but I gave up looking deeper to them because of the elitary attitude in that "scene".

Went back to the OliveBSD forum to see if there was more reaction to the messages there. Kind of annoyed by what I saw. Not by Clau, who's reaction I can understand.
How would you feel if a devotee of another OS came on here with messages of a similar nature?
I like Puppy Linux because it works. I could just as easily have settled on Damn Small Linux, or Feather Linux, but for some reason I settled on Puppy Linux. Not because it is better than windows, or BSD, or any other OS out there but because for me it worked.
However if I saw messages like that before I tried it I'm not sure I wouldn't have given Puppy Linux a miss.
Just another couple pennies.

Elitism whether from BSD, Linux, Windows, Apple or whoever is as Trobin says counterproductive. However I would say that users of other OS including BSD are very welcome here.
As for some of us getting a little frisky and go giving those BSD devils a quick woof . . .
