Hallo zusammen!
Mein Sohn und ich wollten Puppy als Live-CD auf dem Laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro L650 nutzen. Normalerweise benutzt er es mit Win7 64. Sowohl Lucid Puppy 5.2.5 als auch Wary Puppy 5.1.1 finden keine Netzwerkkarte. Laut HW-Info hat das Laptop zwei Netzwerkkarten, nämlich
Atheros AR8151 Gigabit Ethernet Control und
Broadcom 802.11n-Netzwerk Adapter.
Beim Klicken des Connect-Button bedauert Puppy, dass es keine Netzwerkkarte erkennt, und bietet eine Treiber-Bibliothek zur Auswahl an. Darin sind die richtigen Treiber aber nicht zu finden. Beim Wrappen des Windowstreibers verlangt Puppy eine .inf-Datei. Die Windowstreiber sind aber alle .sys-Dateien.
Es gibt auf der Homepage von Atheros Linux-Treiber für Netzwerkkarten. Allerdings weiß ich nicht, in welchen Ordner die Treiberdatei gehört.
Weiß jemand Rat?

ich habe gerade auf meinem EeePc 900A Fluppy 012 installiert. Fluppy nutzt diesen Kernel.

Hallo geos-tiger!
Fluppy ist ja eigentlich für den EeePc, hab trotzdem mal bei mir (Desktop mit Asus Motherboard) installiert. Meine Netzkarte findet fluppy ja wie ein Blitz. Ob es auf dem Toshiba-Laptop auch geht, müssen wir erst noch probieren. Mein Sohn ist nämlich samt Laptop für einige Monate nicht mehr im Lande. Noch einige Worte zu meiner Installation. Ich habe Fluppy im Laufwerk /sda7.
Fluppy benutzt offenbar nur Grub4dos. Ich benutze aber das normale Grub. Damit das auch mit Fluppy funktioniert, habe ich im Laufwerk /sda7 einen neuen Ordner mit dem Namen flp-013 angelegt und dahinein die 5 Dateien

Damit geht das booten von der HD.

Neueste Nachricht bezüglich Internetzugang:

Dias Problem mit dem Treiber ist also gelöst: es lag am Kernel.
