Network Card Recognition

#1 Post by ewlarson »

I upgraded to the latest version of Puppy and now It does not setup a network for me anymore. I tried all the Network scenarios. The previous versions of Puppy at least let me do the Simple Network and found a card. With the new puppy something has changed. Any clues.

Latest puppy is probably Lucid Puppy 525. it uses same kernel as previous Lucid Puppies beginning 511.

What do you mean by upgrading. When you have problems, try always fresh frugal install also and is the problem still existent.

There are so many wireless cards and drivers that with your given specs it is difficult to help.

Please do with your working puppy in console: lspci -nn -v -k

You will get nice info about your hardware. There is also specs of your wireless. Post those rows, all of those wireless rows, and then somebody might be able to help you more.
