st downloaded it to upup raring 3.9.9.2, and it doesn't appear in the Fun menu section, though the dialog box indicated that it had been installed. Wondering, does it work in this version of Puppy?

it only exists as a bunch of right click options in rox--i think don was just buggin' when he set it to say it shows up under fun.

:D

(for real. i've used the last ten or so versions of it--it never shows up under fun.)

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I see it now. The added options show up on a right clock when the cursor is over "file *name*". I was thinking I would have to actually start it to use it.

Barry Kauler has recently corrected the dir2pet script so I can put any
category I want. Before it was grabbing one of the categories,
now I'll choose an appropriate one.

I'll help with the Italian version so that creppolo includes it in the langpack. :D

This is the Spanish translation for the last .pot file posted.

Note some lines that say "default", if translated to Spanish the context menu expands too much so I translated them without "predeterminado". Also some special lines, for example only "lista" instead of "lista de reproducción" (users will assume it's a music playlist because the lines say "music", "m3u", etc.), "Fondos de Pantalla" instead of "Backgrounds Folder" (so that users know they have to open Pwallpaper after copying).

You might want to add an option to translate folders at /root/my-documents.

This pet will be added to the Spanish support, live CD's and packages thread, along with a link to this thread.

http://www.datafilehost.com/d/3b011300

Improvements:

1) Added all translations of Bulldog

the pot file can be downloaded , filled in with your translations

I include pinstall.sh script for experts who know how to use MoManager

pinstall.sh.mo is created. Send that to me. Thanks

Hello Don,

Thanks for putting this together, very useful indeed.

Noticed one thing though,
mtpaint Snapshot screen capture
/usr/local/psnapshot/psnapshot
Some icons don't always display in the little GUI
Changing the instances of icon= to stock= fixes it.

Will try it in Fatdog64-631.
Thanks

Warning!! Don't try it on a 64 bit operating system. There are several apps inside that
were compiled strictly for 32 bit. Plus I think the right click menu items
have to be located in the SendTo folder rather than the OpenWith folder.???

I made a version for fatdog 610. It will have a few right click menus
that won't work if you try it in fatdog 630 . I haven't checked unfortunately.

For people running older versions of Puppy like Wary 5.5 or Racy
it would be better to upgrade your version of gtkdialog to at least
version .0.8.3

Check the version by typing in terminal

Code: Select all

gtkdialog -v

Then you can run my right clicks utility package safely in a new installation.

don, will it work in a 64bit system that has the 32bit compatibility SFS loaded? (i've got a slacko64 install up and running).

also, do you happen to know if the convert sfs-to-pet scripts will properly make pets for 64 bit installations?

thanks in advance.

I think that most of the apps should work. I'm not sure
about zathura and unrar . I'll download slacko64-5.8.8.iso
and test it tonite.

cool. thanks, don.

here's slacko64-5.9.1.iso, in case you're interested. i believe it's the most recent version.

this is the 32 bit compatibility sfs i installed: 32bit-slacko-1.sfs

not sure if it's the most recent or even necessary...

edit: so far no hitches in Slacko64.
