NLS Update
Please give your translations for the script found here: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=70804
And here are some more files to translate... Attached are the english .mo files..
They do not need gettext, they are plain text files with .mo extension
- eventmanager (russian, spanish, german already completed)
- pcdripper (russian, spanish, german already completed)
- dotpup (russian, spanish, german already completed)
- defaults-chooser (russian, german, spanish already completed)
Basically, I need more French translations - the others are much more complete.
Thanks for all the help so far guys
Later, I hope to attach (simple text / no gettext) english .mo files for:
- wizardwizard
- xserverwizard
- input-wizard

What's wrong with akita-en.gz, or is it me? I can't open it .
Running from console I get:
| Code: | # pupzip akita-en.gz
Warning: Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion
gzip: akita-en.gz: not in gzip format
|

Thanks for keeping an interest... Hmmm, I just re-downloaded the file and unpacked it fine, so no problems here, but I'll attach another version, this has the SAME contents, no new files, but maybe it will work for you, rhadon.
** EDIT: The error appears to be related to fontconfig and missing fonts.. I have installed extra console fonts in Akita recently and have those fonts installed on the system which packaged the .gz files.. But that is the only thing I can think of...

Thanks very much, glad you like it, cos it's not finished yet, and the version I'm running is much better than the ISO I uploaded, in various areas...
Plus, I will (hopefully very soon) get technosaurus' new JWM menu generator working in Akita, so the slow 'Refreshing Menus' bit, which I believe to be the most annoying thing about JWM, will then take only 1 or 2 seconds
Please do not hesitate to post problems or annoyances that you experience! What I find 'normal' may be annoying to others, and I appreciate all feedback.

I added another hack to my jwm tools, the latest version has a replacement for the package manager GUI. I can't even guess how many factors of 10 it is... just that you'd need a logarithmic scale to plot it.

Here you go defaults-chooser.mo and dotpup.mo translated into Danish:)
I will look into the rest if I get time to do it:)
But please let me know if you get them translated in the meantime:)
With kind regards

Yeah I can't wait to get it all working nicely in my system!! ... Still gotta work out how best integrate with fixmenus_on_locale - stuff in there becomes redundant once I call your script instead of fixmenus (in fixmenus_on_locale)
Could your script be a straight replacement for fixmenus?
And can your JW(PP)M thingy be integrated into the main menu as a sub menu?
Anywhere near the normal PPM entry.. Any reason not to?

I kinda figured it was quick enough to be part of a restart_jwm wrapper
Re tpm: how many times have you accidentally started something from the menu? I do it all the time on my laptop w/ touchpad. I did put it next to the start menu at first, but figured it was still too close and might still be confusing. ... figured an autohide tray would prevent confusion & unwanted installs.[/quote]

I personally never have that problem, maybe cos my mouse and keyboard are years old and not very sensitive at all!!

I'll have a play with it anyway, it's great! It will definitely be in Akita, no doubts, just gotta figure out how I wanna use it best
I might add your 'tpm' to the smaller 'Apps' menu.. I wanna get it in somewhere!! And to think, all that time I spent making the (still slow) PPM GUI more usable...
But for now, I have my gettext version working fairly well... but just like other scripts that use gettext, the localisation is sometimes not applied, depending on where the script was loaded from...

Thanks very much... I doubt many others can translate Danish, and I would not trust Google, as I have no Danish knowledge whatsoever! But thanks for your contribution

I have translated eventmanager.po and cdripper.mo and put them into mo_txt_ru.tar.gz with others.
I have also created pot file out of jwm_menu script and have translated po-file although I don't fully understand the idea.

Lovely thanks very much, it's all coming along nicely now ... The JWM menu thing is developing quickly, Akita will probably have some fork off it, with a few features added/removed.. It may be a while before translations can be finalised...
