Puppy Pacage Manager - How can I verify the integrity?

#1 Post by arseh2 »

I am told to install these files from Puppy Package manager.

python-pip-1.0
python-setuptools
python-sip
python-qt4_4.9.1
libqtwebkit4_2.2.1
python3-pyqt4_4.9.1

But how can I verify these files are genuine and the server is not compromised?

Is there any way to verify the md5 of these files?

Or, if not, can I download these directly in a way I can verify MD5? If so - do I install them just by clicking on them?

The repositories of files, listed in Puppy Package Manager, are all well established and secure sites.

The md5 check is part of the download process in PPM.
It is done automatically. You will not see anything showing this happening.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected
