Puppy Ajax, Secure VOIP + Online presentation
I think the concept of Ajax Puppy may be coming soon to a computer near you. Simply a computer that is connected to the internet with all of the Web2.0 links to replace many of the local applications. Of course, the limitation is that if you are not on the internet you have a large paperweight. I'm not sure that the local applications really weigh Puppy down so much that it is worth getting rid of them in favor of the online applications. The good side is that there is less to break and worry about compatibility.
It will be fun to watch the development of the AJAX web applications.

is still at Alpha - I could barely (and certainly not reliably get it working - but the principle is grand . . .)
Here is a large list of web2 Ajax progs that I recently "liberated"*

(still needs formatting)
*When I was living at a Buddhist monastery we used to "liberate" articles not being used in one place to use them in another. Fortunately such behaviour is favoured in web2 - share links, share code . . .
