I didn't realize there was a section just for Slimpup 2.4 so sorry if this is redundant. I just installed 2.4 as a guest in VirtualBox and it runs fine but, I can't seem to get the VB ga's to work. I installed the dev & source packages first then ran the ga installer which seemed to run and compile just fine, no errors. But after a reboot they just aren't working. I assume I have to tell SlimPup to use them but I haven't a clue how. I did some Google searches and didn't come up with anything useful. If someone knows exactly how to get them to work in SlimPup I would be ever so grateful. thanks in advance. |

I've never tried guest additions in a non-windows VM before. Have you had previous success in other puplets? http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=59160 Have a look here |

actually I've never tried any Puplets before simply because I could never get anyone to explain how to make the guest additions work. the link points to a problem people are having getting them installed in the first place. I didn't have that problem. they installed just fine. I just can't get Slimpup to recognize them. installing and configuring the GA's should be exactly the same no matter what the host. |
