Hi, All,
Running Puppeee 4.31 on an EEE 900 8.9" screen, I find the BlueJay icon set to be perfect, but the 48 X 48 size is big for the screen and 24 X 24 size a little small (I try to run a desktop with no icon text).
32 X 32 would be perfect. Any suggestions about a package that might suit these obscure needs?
Thanks,
Jake
Looking for 32 X 32 Icons
Hi jakfish,
Maybe try scale2pics to resize existing icon packs

You can find the icon packs you have installed at /usr/local/lib/X11/themes/

rescale pics
Dear jakfish,
You can also try my little prog picscale, that works beautifully for such purposes. Copy picscale (in the archive) to /usr/local/bin and run the script in the directory where you have your icons. The script assumes three things - a size of 32x32 as the target, a *.png format and that the original files will be overwritten, so do back up the original dir. You can change the script to use different sizes and file types (e.g. xpm).
With kind regards,
vovchik
PS. The binary is also here as a pet, I think:http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... h&id=34335

@ stu90 and vovchik--
Many thanks to both of you for weighing in so quickly. I tried both programs and both saved my current icon set. The BlueJay icons against a pure black background stand out nice and strong and now that they're 32x32, they fit the netbook screen perfectly.
Again, I'm much obliged for your help,
Jake
