I have come across a bug with AbiWord 2.8.6 on Puppy 5.2.5 - the one that comes with that version.

When GIMP is not installed and 'edit image via gimp' is select from the Image menu Abiword crashs out without any warning message.

I don't know if this is an error with the way it is compiled for Puppy or an error with AbiWord itself?

The funny thing is when GIMP is installed (gimp-2.6.11-squeeze-2.sfs) AbiWord show 'edit with GIMP' twice in the menu and both entries work.

Compare this with mtpaint's
file > action > edit in gimp

without gimp it simply does nothing and with it works correctly.

I guess an ideal solution would be AbiWord showing 'edit in paint' - then loading the default paint app, be it mtpaint, GIMP or whatever.
