Some web pages don't display correctly

#1 Post by old-user »

When i surf to certain sites all the content in centered into the middle of the screen and a column about half an inch wide?

Could someone please tell me what is happening and how to prevent this from occuring in the future. Thanks

My WAG (Wild-Ass Guess) is that whoever made up the page only looked at it in Windows Internet Explorer, so they didn't get something right. I'm assuming that most webpages seem to display correctly. Can you give us the URLs of a few of the pages that don't?

I am starting to see strange things also. Not as bad as you indicate.
Using latest version of Microsoft Explorer, even.
With the INTERNET moving to full support for tablets, smart phones, etc..
trying to get the balance right is a process in errors. What looks good on a 24" monitor, no way will look good on a 5" to 7" smart phone.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected

old-user: What browser are you using? I've seen sites that don't display correctly if elements of the page are blocked, like scripts or JavaScript.
