Subject description: Driver or Xorg issue

Hello Forum, I am running Puppy 525 on an old ACER Travelmate 4052 Laptop which uses an Intel(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller.

I normally use a remote Viewsonic VP191b monitor and have no display problems under WinXP, MintLinux or Puppy 4.3.1, however under Puppy 5.2.5 the display is initially stable but then starts to flicker and becomes unstable after an hour or so.

I'm wondering if this is an issue with the video driver or with the Xorg version used in 525?

Can anyone suggest a solution?

Hi oliverjames

Go to the package manager and install the 525 update, and see what recommendation for graphics accelerator is offered, possibly xorg high
