I hope this is the right place to post this. I have just installed Puppy version 1.08, with a live multisession CD. It seems significantly faster than versions 1.04 or 1.05.
1. The computer is on a Microsoft network, giving access to the internet, servers and printers. They all worked with version 1.04, using the file pup001 on the local hard drive. When I closed down the computer, I did not need to unmount the network drives (although I did have to remount them for the next session), and the close-down went smoothly. When I installed 1.08 (same computer, same network), much of the content of pup001 was inherited (which is good). However, now unless I unmount all network drives before initiating close-down, the system hangs and I have to resort to the reset button (after opening the CD drive for safety). It doesn
