Yes as I said about half the country? I am not that good at math. Sorry.
only 12? but that is very many compared to how many that talk Swedish in Finland and Swedish is an official language there. And Spanish has been close to USA since Mexico wars and so on. But I lure us into derail.
I like that link him gave though but was too lazy to give google translate a go at it. I can not link to google translate because them think me want to translate to Swedish from Spanish. so the link goes wrong.
Now back to our main topic. Puppy Squeeze Reborn 4.9.9.1 Alpha 2
is Dpup Exprimo 5x5 the one to put energy into then?
I tested it yesterday and it worked good.

5X5 still has a lot of fine-tuning to go but appears to be a strong Puplet base upon which to build.

Life is a large experiment.
Don't be afraid of it.

Beem that reminds me I have promised myself to test Polar pup before I go to bed and it is 21.23 here locally So I go do that test now.
While I am at it.
So Dpup gives us a good Debian repository then. What is it about Pussy that makes so few puppy devs interested in it? You having been here three years more than what I have. you know such don't you
is it the old "Not invented here" syndrome? Now I boot into next polarpup

nooby, people who are used to apt-get aren't happy with Puppy Package Manager and that concept.
When Gposil developed his dpup, that was the case already and a pet has been developed, but not finalized, to be able to use apt-get to install packages.
Pussy is also such a development.
I didn't have a look at it.
As Barry is still in the PPM mode, in regular woof based puppy's, apt-get will not get a place (yet?)

Beem that sounds to be the reason then. All have their preferred ways of doing things and Debian fans like the way them do updating obviously.
Hm so is Puppy Squeeze into apt get and Dpup Exprimo into PPM?
Pussy is an aptget obviously. So the reason none is interested is that it is pure Debian?
sorry me dense.

As far as I knows, Puppy squeeze doesn't have apt_get implemented.

Sorry to derail this thread. Does any puppy work like a true Debian.
I mean can a puppy do apt-get or what the correct term in terminal is?
Or does one have to do special puppy things?

I did search apt-get on this forum and found several interesting threads
Based on these articles, it appears it can be done with a little work
