I am using Jason Fruit's puppy linux 4.3.1 witn emacs and slime. I want to use this to browse the net.
Here is my original email:
to JasonFruit
Dear Jason: Been working with your slime installed puppy 431 and have
found interest in it and using it. I have found and installed w3n pet
and want to make the full linkage to emacs with emacs-w3m. I have
tried to make my own pet without success. A google search has
produced no hits for this pet. Do you still have it in some storage
area? It has been four years so here is your original posting:
I've made a number of packages available at
http://jasonfruit.com/puppy-packages. The most interesting are:
emacs-22.3
w3m-0.5.2
emacs-w3m-1.4.4
sbcl-1.0.20
All of them are compiled for i486 except for Emacs, which is i686 (as
the filename suggests). To use w3m with Emacs for text browsing, you
need to install emacs, then w3m, then emacs-w3m. Open ~/.emacs and add
to it these lines:
Code:
(require 'w3m)
(setq w3m-use-cookies 1) 'allows cookies
Then you'll be able to start w3m with M-x w3m.
Here is the full list of packages:
Python-2.5.pup
conkeror-2009-03-09-i486.pet
conkeror-300908.pet
emacs-22.3-i686.pet
emacs-w3m-1.4.4-i486.pet
madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6-r3861-20080903-i486.pet
pycairo-1.2.6.pup
pygtk-2.8.6.pup
pyrex-0.9.5.1a.pup
sbcl-1.0.20-x86-linux-i486.pet
twm-1.0.4-i486.pet
w3m-0.5.2-i486.pet
xulrunner-1.9.pet
Thanks for your help: Joe
Help would anyone have this file on your hard drive or thumb drive?
emacs-w3m-1.4.4-i486.pet
