Workaround/Replacement for Missing RNDIS Driver?
Hi, All,
With an Asus EEE 900 and an early jemimah puppeee OS, I'm a happy camper.
But in her early work, jemimah did not compile the rndis driver for her kernel. Simply dropping the driver into */modules doesn't work. So I can't connect to my Windows Mobile 6.53 phone for 3G surfing.
With later jemimah puppeee's and with stock 4.31 and ttuuxx's 4.32, rndis is there and works fine with my phone.
But I'd like to avoid an upgrade since everything else is fast and works perfectly.
Is there any workaround to the absence of an rndis driver? I don't know how to re-compile the kernel and was wondering about easier USB-to-cell phone connections. I had bluetooth-to-internet working, but now its connection is buggy with my new carrier (Cosmote in Greece--I connect but can't get on-line).
So any USB help would be greatly appreciated,
Jake
