It's the Keepassx application with qt that's causing the error. KDE4 uses it's own qt so the two versions clashing.

If you like, I've compiled the latest Keepassx with KDE4's Qt so you could try it on a clean pupsave with the KDE4 SFS. That way you can run both.

If you use it, don't install any other Qt, this version of Keepassx uses the Qt on the KDE4 SFS.

Hi josejp2424,

The "No URIs in the text/uri-list" error is because you're copying a file from the KDE Dolphin file manager to the Puppy Linux ROX file manager, and for some reason, that doesn't work. My suggestion would be to only use Dolphin for copying files. What I mean by that is to only copy things from Dolphin to Dolphin.

For the shortcuts problem, could you provide more information? What do you mean by "have an address"? For me, I usually create shortcuts by dragging them from the KDE menu.

hello friend again bothering you, the problem of copying a file from kde to another USB device or disk.
you know the problem can not be.
because there is incompatibility of dolphin to rox.
could be modified pmount script for you to mount the disk with dolphin, and there should not have problems, I think. not what you think.

No problem. There are 2 ways to go about this problem.

Option 1:
Just navigate in Dolphin to your USB after mounting it and copy like that.

Option 2:
This involves actually changing the Pmount script. Open /usr/sbin/pmount in a file editor (geany is what I use: menu->document->geany). Search for "rox" and replace all instances of "rox" with "dolphin". Rox will have options behind it like "-d" or "-X" so be sure to delete those as well. Make a backup of pmount in case something goes wrong, just in case ;) Have a happy New Year :)

Hi richardyusan,

Thanks for trying out the SFS, sorry to hear about the sound not working. :(

So just to be sure I understood what happened, you tried the SFS on your desktop computer, and all was well, sound worked, but then you tried it on your laptop, sound did not work on the laptop, and then when you went back to your desktop computer, sound did not work there either even though it did before?

Did you get any notifications from KDE like "sound device could not be identified" or something of such?

Ahhh so it was a driver issue with the Lucid 528 not the SFS, glad to know you solved it :)

Well turns out someone else has done the hard work already.

Puppyluvr has put together a package that works well here. Just extract the tar and install all the .debs inside. If you have a black background behind the dock, follow the steps here. Heh, that was cool cause it was so easy to install :)
