Subject description: 5000 and ml-1640		  
my OS puppy linux 5.28 and am having samsung ML1640 laser monochrome printer and benq 5000 scanner.both of them are not working for the want of proper driver which i am unable to get.if any one help me to get drivers in pet format i should be greatful

For your Samsung ML-1640, go here and get the samsung_printer-3.00.65.pet.

I believe that your Benq 5000 scanner should be detected by SANE, but it may require a firmware download. Run the following commands. What do they detect? Report back.

sir
both are recognized but i am unable to use them .it is better to include all type divers in puppy Linux default as is in Ubuntu .if you can tell in in detail how to install proper drivers and utilize printers and scanners . these are must so that puppy Linux to become a complete desktop OS.i am very grateful to you for replying to my questions

In the post above, I provided a link to a Samsung driver PET. Have you installed it yet? Did you get the printer installed in CUPS?

You have not answered my questions about your Benq scanner.
