I know what is Public Key and how Public Key cryptography works But what exactly is that thing which people post on their websites as their public? What I meant to ask was how do I use it? For example, I found this on a personal website
So now I know his public key. But how can I use it now? Also, please see this [url] http://xkcd.com/364/[/url] What is the joke here? What happens if you sign the public key? I guess you sign some document using your private key. So what does it do if you sign someone else's public key? Does it make your private key insecure? Or does it make it look like you are verifying that particular public key? Please shed some light into this. Thank you very much for your invaluable time. |
