I noticed that many 4K files are using 512K blocks. If I recopy them, they report 4K instead of 512. Files that I've installed report the correct sizes.
This might be unique to lucid. (tested with 5.2.5) Example, files in /usr/share/applications and many in /etc

Edit: I see that if I use du- b, it's the same. Using du -h reports an anomaly.
