These new drivers will replace the need for the wl.ko proprietary driver and as BarryK mentions in his blog they along with the firmware "will be in the next upload of Woof, so puppies built from that Woof and with the 2.6.39.x+ kernels will support those Broadcom drivers out-of-the-box."
