puppy 400 couldn't restart machine.

Hi,
I found that when puppy 400 is rebooted from Menu, machine goes to a condition where monitor is off (gets no input signal), Hard disk LED is off, power LED is on and CPU fan is on.
But machine truly doesn't reboot.
Have you seen such a situation?
Lucid puppy 520 reboots nicely.

I had same problem with puppy 4.00
It cleared up in later editions like 431 or why not use Wary?
I don't think that Barry tend too much about 4.00 anymore.
I trust Wary is the puppy he recommend?
Did you maybe ask this also in other threads? Look familiar
Take this answer from rjbrewer. AFAIK he is one of the best who knows such things. I've read many answers from him. A reliable source of advice when it comes to to chose Wary instead of Puppy 4.00

As rjbrewer suggested, I tried wary. It really rocks!

However, yesterday I tried puppy431 too. It has same reboot problem.
(probably in my machine...)

If one know enough. Which I don't do then one can add "safe" arguments to the kernel line to tell the software to ignore or to not activate some thing or to actually do activate some things that makes it easier to reboot or to shut down properly.
I trust that Barry now recommend Wary because the new kernels take care of such better than the old puppies did
