Very good

Boy, that's a very good web page - quite tempting to copy and publish as "Puppy Linux SomeOtherLanguage" :) Any clues if it is a CMS?

Congrats for the good work!

Er.. they say the cheap PCs come from that side of the world - any news there? (as if I can read Chinese  )

Thanks :)
A download section will also be added soon.

Raffy the tool used is called Limbo. It's a lite one and doesn't offer much features by default, but it's very easy to set up. The main reason it's been chosen is that it has a Chinese version and a Chinese support site :D

Wiki is added to the site :)

Btw today the iso download has exceeded the limit I set (which's 15/day, maybe somewhat conservative). Congrats to Nyu 8) I have raised the limit to 20/day now :D

Bandwidth for Chinese.puppylinux.net

#6 Post by Ted Dog »

FYI, the views of my puppy background picture for the contest takes more BW than the site. Lets see what the true flow looks like over the next few days. Thank you for limiting the bandwidth but you have been conservative. I'll let you know how its going. Ted

Thanks Ted :)

The download limit applies for all three download links in this page, i.e, if the total no. of downloads of the ISO from all three links (puptrix, chinese.puppylinux.net and MU's server) reached the limit, an error message will be displayed, telling the users the file can't be downloaded for the moment and ask them to come back the next day.

I think the no. of downloads increased a bit because there's a post in a popular Chinese-language linux forum mentioning the iso. When that post becomes old, the no. of downloads will decrease too :) And not much promotion has been done (yet) to promote the site

You can set up the limits for dotpups.de, it is in a uncritical region.
April:
196 hits,
0.391.550 kb downloaded.
To compare:

Megapuppy002:
1313 hits,
6.492.459 kb downloaded

/hacao/hacao_060114.iso
1403
4.150.608 kb downloaded

When together 20.000.000 kb -30 GB will be reached, I would start deactivating an iso temporarily, as with maybe 40.000.000 we once got a server-crash.
