Attempted full install of Lupu 528 won't boot |
|
I did this and then it said something about grub. I went into SYSTEM like it told me to and started up this grub configuration wizard. I went through it and tried to reboot hoping for it to work. It didn't. I reinserted the live USB I created and now it's giving me an error that says 'lupu_528.sfs not found'. What did I do? Haha. I remade the live USB and it's still doing this.
EDIT: Fixed the problem with the live USB and went through the installer to install on my internal HDD. Is this all I have to do or there something more to get Puppy to run from the internal hard drive? Oh and I did a 'Full' install.

What is the make and model of the machine?
What instructions did you follow?
Did you install grub to mbr?
Provide information!

Sorry, forgot to update this but I've got it working. Did a full install to my hard disk and then ran the grub configuration tool and installed that to MBR. Now it works just fine. It's a Dell M1330 with a T7300, 2GB of RAM, and a nVidia 8400m GS. One issue I'm having is frequency scaling. I turned it on using the default driver but it seems stuck at 800mhz no matter what I do and this yields horrible performance. Any ideas? Sorry if I don't add enough info, I'm pretty new to Linux.
