This seems to be some sortof legacy problem with installing Puppy Linux as a full installation. It seems to work sometimes and not others.
It can't be described as a show-stopper in any sense, but it would be nice if this got sorted out one of these days.
Puppy doesn't allow "full" installs to usb media.
