Moontool 3.0.1 Sub_title: Astronomical moon information |
|
I've packaged Moontool 3.0.1 and most of it's dependencies, download it HERE, it still requires libXp.so.6 to run which can be downloaded HERE
I've run this in a few different puppies and it works fine, the most recent being Lucid 5.2.8, hope some find it useful.

Thanks for posting this app here! I've always enjoyed these little types of programmes. In fact, I used to have a little javascript one that loaded into a web browser on the desktop - worked on any platform of course - but lost it over the years. With this now I'll always know the moon's schedule.
Thanks again!
Cheers/Amicalement,

Here is a web based moon viewer http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Earth/action?opt=-m&img=MoonTopo.evif
Thanks, It took me a while to track down the required files to get this to work, but it appears to work in every puppy I've tried it with, the latest being Saluki.
I did try to get John Walker's moontool from here http://www.fourmilab.ch/ to work, but had no luck, though there are a number of other interesting applications.
Cheers,
Geoff

Awesome website there Geoffrey! Thanks for their website as it'll provide many fine hour's worth of reading for me, maybe even some experiments for me to perform as well! Of course I made it a point to bookmark it.
Thanks once again Geoffrey!
