Users of the Evernote web-hosting service for online note-taking storage, will already be aware that there is no native Linux desktop client available. If you want to use the original Evernote client, you would have to run it under WINE.
Evernote clients exist for just about every other platform except Linux. Users of Android, Firefox and I believe Google Chrome are catered for. See developer info here:
http://sourceforge.net/apps/phpbb/never ... d87199a4a6
Here is a native Evernote client called Nixnote that implements a lot of the functionality of the Evernote client.
Size: 51MB, supplied as an sfs because of the size. Get it here:
http://www.datafilehost.com/download-5513d5a4.html
Requires a Java runtime and a free Evernote account that you can set up here:
http://www.evernote.com
Menu item should appear under Documents. After entering your Evernote username and password, you can then proceed to synchronise you local PC with the server.
