Off-line wikipedia application?
Off-line wikipedia application?
Is there any Puppy Linux solution for off-line wikipedia?
Wikipedia offline?
I don't quite understand the need to have the Wikipedia offline. Is it not updated by the minute and sec so that your downloaded content would be old as soon as you got it?
I do understand it fully well.
Suppose you are on travel and not allowed to have any Smartphone
or Surfpad accessing wifi going. Then you can set your Smartphone
on local and read for hours in the off line Wiki on anything on your mind.
And so practical when one don't have access to the internet.
Sure the bad thing is that it is old info but that is what everybody was
used to for many decades having a Encyclopedia them bought for much money too. Them could be ten years old depending on how rich the owner.
Here you can download a new version as often as you have access.
Edit. Suppose you have a Kindle E-ink reader. Then you can read in wiki for weeks without needing a wifi access Battery only needed when turning page
