AlienPupOS.
AlienPupOS is a Puppy Linux-based distribution which ships with WINE and BOINC on the live media. The distribution is intended for use running BOINC computations on older hardware.
Anybody know about this?
It was announced on Distrowatch this morning. Seems a game orientated Puppy for older computers ...
AlienPupOS
The link to the OS web page is http://www.alienpupos.com/ It appears to be based on Lucid Pup 5.28.
A link for alienpupos also appears on Distrowatch under the heading new to waiting list however when the link is clicked it leads to https://boinc.berkeley.edu/
The site also features a barebones copy of slacko 5.3.3.
alienpupos is also a registered user on this forum.
These do not look like new projects though.

You need to read all of the scrolling explanations in the lower r.h.s. to appreciate what he is doing. This thread is complementary with :

lhs I think you mean rather than rhs. Saw it. Thanks.
To much old kit going to waste.
I do not believe that the project is active. It is still possible to download the iso's using the free method of waiting for 300 seconds however clicking on the paypal donation button to give $2 in exchange for an immediate download results in an error. There are projects on this forum that are actively being developed and shared in real time on the forum at the moment which have the same objective of servicing old kit.
