Hi Guys
Using Puppy 525 and have an annoying distorted/chopped sound problem.
Have adjusted to have only just minimal setting in AlsaMixer 1.0.22 but no luck. Using a youtube video as a test

Soundcard SiS7012
Module snd-intel8x0
Have attached additional details to those given above as they are rather light in what anyone needs to know ( screeenshot via HardInfo )
I can query via the terminal if lacking in any way. Hope someone can help.

Puppy 525 has been updated to Lucid Puppy 528.005.
Bug fixes. So would suggest you update.

For YouTube videos the first thing is make sure you have a good version of Flash Player.
Install this program
Getflash
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=74491
(make sure to download the newest version)
After installing Getflash.
Run from menu->Internet->Getflash install flash player
This program will find the latest version of Flash Player and install
Also, the video quality setting could be an issue. Set to high for your download speed, could cause problems.
Try this:
open Menu -> Multimedia Tools -> Alsamixer (alsamixer, not alsawizard). Press F6 and that will show you what sound devices have been detected and configured. If yours is not the top one then arrow down and click it, then make sure everything plausible is turned up.

The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
