Is there a dotpup of sox (mp3 -> wav converter)?

Ok, here it is: 212K and just over a meg extracted.
I left out the soxmix app, I don't think Graveman needs it.

(Sorry I'm a day late, but after making more than fifty dotpups in less than 24 hours I wasn't feeling too well...)

Thanks Dougal, much obliged!!!

From my research MP3 support out of the box is the holy grial of cd burning under linux! What seems an inconvenience to convert to .wav for us stops a lot of young puppys I know from being able to burn a CD as they just dont understand the different formats yet or how to convert on the commandline (just yet!). Thanks for putting this one on your priority list.

I loaded the dotpup and it added support for .ogg files but still no mp3! Sox is able to convert a whole host of files of 99% of audio formats out there (much more than doze Media player or even Nero). The man page for sox says
MP3 support in SoX is optional and requires access to either or both the external libmad and libmp3lame libraries
Thanks for making puppy more useable!!!

This is part in Puppy2, maybe in older ones you must install it as alien package or with Pupget.

Loaded those two libraries using pupget as alien packeges and both reported success. Went to graveman and updated the plugins but still no mp3 :-(

run ldconfig or reboot.
ldconfig makes shure the libraries register without reboot:

But a reboot should be ok, too.

In my Puppy2 it works using the dotPET of sox I posted.
I did not try the dotPUP.

Have you seen this message?
It makes dotpet-installation very easy:
