meeting agenda
I may not be able to attend (I will try - depends if I can get evening release from my "Secure Home for Strange Cructaceans")
I would however like to register my votes:
Browser Firefox
Default leafpad with Geany as an option
Window Manager - JWM with IceWM as an option
Icon set - just improved 2cnd choice whatever Nathan votes for
Email - no change
HTML editor - remove make dotpup of bluefish
Other issues:
All updates added
any upgrades backported from Puppy2
Release of working ISO by early next week
release often
Any other votes go for same as Nathan (Appoint him as proxy)
If anyone else can not attend they can make Nathan a proxy
or register their preferences. Is there a meeting agenda?

You guys did well!

This is what we can look forward to in Puppy1.09
The XDG menus will enable a choice of Window managers?
Will leave the next meeting to Nathan but would suggest as soon as the first test version is released. With releases and meets I suggest often as possible . . .
Well done you guys! Very well done in fact

We're also considering Rox-2.4.1, but I need to get a test package togeather first. Then we can look at it and decide.

Yes, but only because it's out as a security fix. Otherwise I wouldn't be taking the time to recompile it (which is what is currently running on my computer).
Really annoying since the new release was announced literally within hours of when I finished the 1.5.0.2 package.

Bring on the locusts ...
as Nathan F says, Rox is getting a little strange, they now use a zero-install installer which requires Python ... if anyone can't find the source for Rox filer 2.4.1, i got it here:We're also considering Rox-2.4.1, but I need to get a test package togeather first
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/rox/
Rox 2.4.1 requires the shared-mime-database ... i put it in /root, but it usually goes in /usr/local/share/mime/
all that's needed to build the database are the config files in /usr/local/share/mime/packages/ and the executable /usr/local/bin/update-mime-database ... i think the packages files are about 99k compressed ... the complete prebuilt database is about 221k compressed, 1.4 megs uncompressed

You scared me! I looked at your sig and it said the meeting was today, but today isn't tomorrow here yet like it is in the UK now. We live in yesterday at the moment. Now I got it. I'm calm now. Sorta.
