Subject description: Deskjet 1000 requires hplip-3.10.9, other hplips fail :(		  
HowDo Alpha-Puppy etal
I am trying to install Wary 5.2.2 - every-thing-s ducky until I get to the O'l HP Deskjet 1000 J110 and then I fail. I have read and tried all the hplip threads/instructions and either have missed something basic or have reached the point where I need to put this printer to sleep.

Both the older and newer hplip PETS seem to fail for this printer. Assuming I am the error point I am posting to ask for some direction or clues or even a scent of the trail...Any help would be great. Thanks.
