Shed supercomputer

How many computers ya got?
Wanna a super computer?

As I understand it, you need Puppy's with server software
and software that can split its code into chunks
One of the servers would also be the master?

It might be worth working out which software can do this?
Something like rendering Blender or Openshot movies maybe?

Not sure if anyone else is aware, but, Puppyland's own Master_Wrong has already done this with some significant automation built-in. This is some interesting stuff where he worked with JamesBond and shows how to set it up so that all computers will boot (netboot) from a common server in the cluster (rather innovative to say the least).

His ClusterPUP implementation is easily set up in a few simple steps and has the added ability to run the heads without HDDs such that you get a true supercomputer when working on multi-threaded applications, should you choose.

I know that this would be a great server for those distro developers who compile their systems for presentation in Puppyland. Just imagine a super-computer working on a source-system compilation. Instead of hours...how about a couple minutes?

Hope this helps

I can't resist:

"Imagine a Beowulf cluster of these" (Puppy Linux) computers

--or-- "What could possibly go wrong?"
