Slacko 531 shutdown problem
I've seen this problem discussed, and some possible fixes, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to understand the solutions posted. I have the same problem that several people have mentioned with Slacko 5.3.1 in that it won't shutdown and only reboots when running from a USB drive. I've seen in some previous posts that it seems to be a a problem in /etc/rc.d/rc.shutdown and I've seen a patch. I'm not sure how to install the patch though. I can edit the file, but I don't know where to insert the code. I'd really appreciate it, if I could get some "cookbook" type instructions on how to fix this problem. Edit - Sorry this should have been posted in the Slacko 5.3.1 area. I couldn't figure out how to delete it though even after reading the FAQ.

Are you using this setup for the USB drive?
Using the whole disk for saving (not a savefile).
The easy fix is to rerun the USB install and on first reboot choose option to use a save file.
You can make save file use all free space. _________________ The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
