How about a broadband usage monitor?

#1 Post by ndujoe1 »

Is it possible to write a script that monitors my broadband usage such that when I reach the limit for the month it will cut off the internet?

I see when I place my mouse over the blinky indicator it reads out he data transmitted.

Thanks.

I seem to remember at least one thread on this subject, a long time ago.

Are you using an old version of Puppy?

The tray network applet shows accumulated transfers in and out for the current month. It would nice to extend it's functionality, as it currently resets every calendar month.

It is awhile since I created this, can't recall some details. You might have to be using Simple Network Setup for it to work properly.

I kept links in this post back in 2010 in my "Puppy Linux" thread at the PC-Guide.
The topic was NetWorx.
