Subject description: with Lucid Puppy

What‘s wrong with my WLAN interface?
This is about a shuttle XS35V2 barebone PC, Atom D525 (1,80 GHz dual core), 4 GB RAM, no HDD, Puppy Lucid 511 on a 2 GB SD-Card. The WLAN device is a RTL 8188CE, that’s what is written on it, but Hardinfo says RTL 8176 (rev 01). I use tempestuous’ rtl8192ce-pci-K2.6.33.2.pet since yesterday. I managed to get connected to my DSL router (WPA2) but the connection is not stable at all. Yesterday I had to klick each hyperlink twice or more.
Today I was online again but nothing works smoothly. I try to get connected to any site, sometimes it works, sometimes the URL is recognized but the transferring of data last minutes. I am connected with another PC via the same router and the connection is fast and stable.

IP-Info says:
in Register card “Interfaces"
Code:
wlan0
Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr E0:91:53:59:4D:A5
UP BROADCAST MULTICAST  MTU:1500  Metric:1
RX packets:404 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:229 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txquelen:1000
RX bytes:90804 (88.6KiB)  TX bytes:30720 (30.0 KiB)
Interrupt:19 Memory:f810000-f8110100
but in register card "Wireless"
Code:
Wireless configuration:
No wireless extensions detected

Anyone got a clue, what’s my mistake?

Are you using Network Wizard or Frisbee to connect?

I've had similar problems in the past with network connection dropping out.
