Sub_title: who helps to tame this snake?

My wish for the next lucid puppy: implemantation of a simple method to install all python based programs in puppy. Currently all such programs need to be tweaked individually in order to fit into pup. It is a nice accomplishment that ubuntu debs can be installed in lucid puppy but it appears to me that a python compatability is a requirment for a bunch of ubuntu apps. Examples:

Good point, Dromeno. I haven't forgotten about Gourmet - I intend to have another go when I have a bit more time.
