I'm trying to connect to internet via wifi but when I go to connect>wlan0>scan I'm not reading any networks at all. I've tried connecting on other distros and yes, the router is showing and connection is possible. What is wrong with the wifi on my lucid 529 wifi connector?

Using Lucid 528 on my Asus Eee 900 (live booting, not installed yet), I'm finding that while it connects okay to wireless, if I let it sit a while (maybe a half hour) doing nothing, Firefox can no longer find connection to the internet unless I disconnect and reconnect the wireless.

Hey trapster, i've been wondering if it might be a hardware issue, ripping up a laptop is something I've never done but would be willing to consider it, any idea what I'd need to look for under the cover?

This seems to be the definitive effort to get the proper broadcom drivers into each version of Puppy. I'm unsure which version you are currently running: 528?

http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=76495

Hope that helps.

I have a bcm4311 card installed in my msi netbook.
Works fine with any of the Puppies I've tried.
Shows up as b43 pcmcia in network installer.
What is the make and model of your laptop?
