How to use Edimax EW-7718un wireless dongle in Puppy?

I got a new Edimax EW-7718Un wireless dongle and i can't get it working on puppy-4.2retro-k2.6.21.7-seamonkey. i went into the wireless network wizard but it only shows my ethernet card. if i try and load the driver that is for this dongle "RT2870_Linux_STA" it doesn't find my dongle interface. any help appreciated |

Mecdor This should be what you need, as it's for that early kernel http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=371729#371729 Else try tempestuous's modified early one, here http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=346450#346450 I suggest to remove the other one first, if possible If they don't work, you'll have to ask tempestuous to compile a driver for your kernel, or update to 4.3 at least Aitch
