i m using intel 82815 onboard graphic
my problem is i get 862 x 624 resolution ..by trying xorg wizard.
when i select 1024 x 768 it automaticaly converts to 862 x 624 resolution
and i have tried in wary 5.2.2 and lucid 5.2.8 also macpup 5.2.8
if my problem solved i be happy.
racy 5.2.2 gives me 1024 x 768.
but i like lucid puppy more..

Drivers are kernel specific, so see here for early kernels, k2.6.21.7 and k2.6.25

I believe i815 is supported a long time in later versions

4.31/525R is k2.6.30.5
525 is k2.6.33.2
528 is k2.6.33.2, but can be updated to k2.6.38.4
530/1 is k2.6.37.6, and later

Run xorg wizard and select xorg, then use the test icon
You should see options for 1024x768, select ok, then save
If it doesn't support that hardware, or there is some other problem, puppy will load the vga driver, and lower resolution

Try using slickpet to test your graphics card/update driver/get hardware acceleration
