#1 Post by 666philb »

this is osgg (old school gravity game)

Image

OldSkool Gravity Game is lunar lander skillgame with twitch gameplay, it is designed to be hard, precise and unforgiving. All in glorious 70's style vector graphics. :D

omg this is so hard!!

websitehttp://sourceforge.net/projects/osgg/

download .pet http://www.mediafire.com/file/jru9za343s111rk/Osgg_0.99.pet 2.8mb

if your using wary/lucid/slacko or saluki, you'll need to install these from your ppm....
-----------------
libSDL
libSDL_ttf
libSDL_image
libSDL_mixer

type sdl in the find box
be sure to click the examine dependencies button if it appears
-------------------
for lucid puppy an sdl.pet is attached below

enjoy

Osgg shows up in the Fun menu of Racy Puppy 5.2.1.90 after installing the pet, but nothing happens when I click it. Likewise if I enter osgg in a console all I get is command not found.

hi flash...

i've updated the post above, it needs a few sdl libs installed from your ppm. don't use the lucid ones.

I've also changed the .pet slightly, to create my own launch scripts as the launcher that comes with the game required qt. so you'll need to install the new osgg.pet.

hopefully it will work for you now :)

I installed the sdl lib pet and the new osgg pet in my Racy 5.2.1.90 multisession DVD. Now there are two entries in the Fun menu, osgg_full screen and osgg_windowed, but still nothing happens when I click on either one and I get command not found when I enter osgg in a console.

I'm not rebooting after I install. Everything is done in RAM. Could that be why?

hi flash

that sdl.pet was for lucid puppy. racy should really use it's own sdl from its ppm

however, open the ppm , type sdl in into the find box and install sdl and any dependencies (probably alsalib) ....

sdlmixer , sdltiff & sdlimage are probably installed from that pet. if it still doesn't work try installing them from the ppm as well

That worked. I found and installed the sdl lib from the ppm as you said. Now everything works. I think I just told ppm to inspect for dependencies and install them all.

Thanks, osgg is great fun! :)

The sounds seem a bit primitive though. Is there any way to substitute different ones? The sound it makes when it crashes could be improved a lot I think.

yeah is pretty basic, it can be changed though.

in /usr/games/osgg the 'boom.ogg' is the crash sound
