Got a base level domain like .com? - read this! |
|
The unthinkable just happened: All .com domains are now subject to US law, without exceptions!
"the reality that US law can now be asserted over all domains registered under .com, .net, org, .biz and maybe .info " was also mentioned.

Have a look in the "Further Reading" for the rest.

Asset raiding without compensation
The American Administration are the new Vikings
THEFT by any other name....and tantamount to an act of war against a Canadian business, by Corporate AmeriKa, IMHO!!
Gambling is lawful in Canada....no it's not, say Homeland Security
GGGRRR!!!
Further checking...it turns out this is based on a Warrant by Maryland Authorities, where gambling is illegal, to seize assets of a Canadian business 'as illegally obtained funds'
ha! hope they get done for that !
more info, including the warrant

Will the DOJ be going after members of Congress being paid by corporate businesses damaging the environment with the same relentlessness....?
more will come out of this, I'm sure...
Note: Re .com domains; A simple solution...re-register with non-verisign domain...eh?

Domains and Internet Marketing |
|
If the US govt. can control.com's and others this will mean those in Internet Marketing trying to make a living will be under the government's control. Any time they want to seize your website and your assets they can. With states trying to get companies like Amazon to pay sales taxes can they now seize Amazon.com's assets and seize their website? There is a new domain that is gaining acceptance within Internet Marketing circles. The .cc and .co. It is just getting the people who use the internet to shop to accept these new domains.
