Hello all. I have often tried to install Puppy Linux on your hard drive without success. I find it difficult when I am asked to edit the file menu.lst. I find it difficult to continue from that point. I think it's necessary to get through this. Puppy Linux should provide a new installer. Ubiquity should be inspired to realize it. Even without a GUI would be good as long as it is easy to use and fully automatic. This would allow a greater spread of Puppy Linux is a distro that has nothing to envy to others. I hope that developers accept this idea because not everyone has the necessary expertise to carry out an installation conventional. Then I would appreciate a little help to install the distro at the moment.
Best regards from Italy.

Hi Nino,
Can you give a bit more information about your system?
Have you got a Windows installation on the HD and if so, do you want to keep it?
Have you got any Linux partitions set up on the drive?
Which version of Puppy are you using? Are you going for a full or frugal installation?
If you have "grub4dos" (as well as "grub legacy") on your Puppy, you might find that g4d is easier. There shouldn't be any need to edit the menu.lst (unless you want to!)

Re: New installer
What size screenshot have you tried to post? What happens when you try? The forum will only display an attached image if it is 600 pixels wide or less. This is to accommodate users with small screens.nino wrote:P. S.: I can not post screenshots
This is the easiest way to setup your menu.lst: FrugalInstaller-1.5, by shinobar... Install it, along with grub4dosconfig, and it is incredibly easy to install Puppy to HD, using GRUB as your bootloader...
