palemoon freezing.

#1 Post by xenial. »

Hi----
I like to use pale moon browser as my main browser on xenail pup 32bit.
I have noticed recently that when i open my rox-filer file manager when pale moon is open it sometimes freezes pale moon for no apparent reason.

Pale moon is not installed as i run the palemoon script from the folder with an icon on desktop.

it is opt/palemoon/palemoon.

Is it possible to relocate this file elsewhere as this "could" be the issue or is there any other reason for these intermittent freezes.

Thanks,

What web site are you looking at when Pale Moon does this?

Are you using the latest version of Pale Moon v28.10.0?
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.

For Internet browsing in general, Pups "Advert-Blocker" might help. ROX may benefit if you disable "image thumbnails."

Pale moon is not installed as i run the palemoon script from the folder with an icon on desktop.

it is opt/palemoon/palemoon.

That is basically how it is installed.
Plus it usually puts a .desktop file in /usr/share/applications so a menu entry may get made.

What is the computers specs?
CPU
Memory

Give us a link to a web site you are looking at in
Pale Moon when it does this.

Is Rox just open or is it also doing something?
Transfering files, copy, paste, etc......

Have you recently or ever run Quickpet->Info->Xenialpup Updates?
Even if yes.
Do it now and reboot.
