How to get HP Deskjet930c to print?

I have a HP Deskjet930c printer connected to the computer via USB. But when I tell Abiword to print something, nothing happens. Not even any error messages.

What do I need to do to get the printer to print please? I tried rebooting.

Thanks

What Puppy version are you using? Have you done a printer install?

All Puppies come with the Gutenprint driver package. It contains a driver for the Deskjet 930C. Is that what you used? Does it print a test page?

Read here.

I have a Live CD of PL 4.2.1 - am unable to burn a more up to date CD at the moment.

My computer is a HP Deskjet 930c, connected via USB

How do I instal the printer please? I was hoping it would do it automatically.

Thanks

In your other thread, you asked for help installing Puppy. You never replied there. As a courtesy, you should finish that thread before asking for new help.

On your desktop, there is an icon called Setup. Click it.

Select: Setup CUPS Printing.

When the CUPS web interface starts, select the Administration tab.

Select: Find New Printers.

Follow the steps.

Print a test page.
